Big Bend SOAR
Camps June 14-17 & June 21-24
Big Bend SOAR (Summer
Orientation About Rivers) Camp is a nature day camp where children can
learn about the Platte River and other natural areas in and around
Buffalo and Kearney Counties. Campers take part in a variety of
activities that include natural and physical science, language arts,
history, agriculture, music and art, while having fun.
SOAR is a blast!!
Campers get to participate in activities not normally offered during the
school year like getting wet and muddy – all for the sake of learning!
SOAR is for any student
presently in grades 2 though 5. Camper registration is $80. Financial
aid is available for qualified applicants. Please call 308-468-5282 for

SOAR is a program of
the Prairie Plains Resource Institute in Aurora, Nebraska and is
sponsored locally by Rowe Sanctuary.
FLYING HIGHER June 8-9
Flying Higher is a
hands-on, ecology camp geared for kids presently in 6th
through 8th grade. This camp will take campers into the
realm of scientific surveys and identification with a huge dose of fun.
Camp registration is
$80. Financial aid is available for qualified applicants. Please call

SCHOLARSHIPS
The Iain Nicolson
Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary is teaming up with Wild Birds
Unlimited and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation to provide
scholarships for students to attend camp. Call 308-468-5282 for more
