EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS
Nebraska Natural Heritage Speaker's Bureau
Throughout
the year we offer educational opportunities and special events for
people of all ages. Now we can bring the adventure to you with our
Natural Heritage Speaker's Bureau. These programs are designed just for
adults. Invite one of our experienced staff to your next meeting or
better yet come out to Rowe for your meeting. Suggested honorarium for
shorter programs is $25 and for longer programs is $50. Program offerings are as
follows:
Introduction to Rowe Sanctuary
This presentation includes an overview of Rowe Sanctuary's
history, conservation and education efforts, and explores the
activities and programs offered. Presentation by Staff
The Last
Child on the Prairie
Explore
the importance of reconnecting our children and ourselves to nature.

Cranes,
Cranes Everywhere
Each
spring, over a half million Sandhill Cranes congregate on the Platte
River in one of the world's greatest migration spectacles. Along with
these majestic birds, tens-of-thousands of bird watchers from all over
the world flock to Audubon's Rowe Sanctuary to see and hear this

animals that call the tallgrass prairies home.
Nature Journaling
(Indoor & Outdoor Adventure)
This hands-on approach to connecting to nature need no batteries or
previous experience in drawing or journaling.
Backyard Birds of
Central Nebraska (Presentation & Hike)
Think it is
too hard to learn to bird? Then this program is for you. Learn the
basics of birding in a safe environment with our resident birder and
become familiar with birds seen in your backyard.
Platte River Explore
(Outdoor Adventure)
Come get your feet wet and your spirit renewed as we explore the
river.
